The current state and biodiversity of steppe phytocenoses in the territory of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic

In connection with the importance of preserving and restoring steppe landscapes, purpose study was to monitor state biodiversity phytocenoses in territory Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. Geobotanical survey carried out foothill zones republic 2018-2020. According monitoring results, it found that an increase pasture digression correlates a depletion floristic composition, decrease projective cover, height herbage productivity aboveground phytomass, level synanthropization simplification vertical structure. With anthropogenic influence plant communities, increases 78.6%. The cover 1.5-3.3 is consequence long irrational use pastures. As result intensive grazing, phytomass decreases by 9-12 times, grass stand - 2.5-5.0 times compared reference phytocenoses. To preserve phytocenoses, set measures needed, including ecologization agriculture, development for ecological restoration disturbed ecotopes, prevention negative phenomena invasion, creation nurseries flora reserves, inclusion species are danger complete extinction Red Book Kabardino-Balkaria.
